Beginners
Samones has the largest beginners ski area in Haute Savoie
A very good selection of short greens and blues to build up your confidence
The beginners area is located at the top of the Grand Massif Express at 1600 m altitude
guarantees a good quality of snow throughout the season.
At the end of the day with the tired legs its is some times a god bless to catch the gondal back
in to Samoens
Intermediate
From the top of the Massif Express at 1600 m no need to catch any more lifts to start skiing .
This is Samoens own section where you have a selection of blues, reds and blacks to put in a few
runs before you discover the Grand Massif.
From the top of the Grand Massif one more lift and you are Morillon & Les Carroz section, with a
good selection of blues and reds on the open mountain or running through the trees.
From the top of the Grand Massif 2 lifts and you are in the Famous Flaine bowel
With a further selection of blues and reds. It also give you the chance to practice your off piest
skiing in a safe area.At the end of the day you can ski in to Morillion 1100 or the red to the
Samoens Vercland where the ski bus can take you back to our chalet front door.For the die hard skiers
you can take a 14 km blue run from the top of flaine 2480 m ( it is the longest blue in Europe)
with a vertical drop of 1800m down in to sixt where there is a cosy little bar where you can have a well earned drink while waiting for the bus.
Advanced
Samoens has a good selection of reds and blacks on its own with some good selection of off piest
though Flaine will be more appealing for its red, blacks and off piste in the famous bowel or the
back drops with over 1800 m vertical drop guide recommended.
